Sunday 30th April.
8:30am One of the eggs has “pipped”. This means that the ducking has started its hatching journey! If you look carefully on the ‘Egg Cam’ you may be able to see the egg moving. This is the duckling wriggling inside the egg and carefully tapping away at the shell, eventually making the hole bigger and bigger. Keep checking for more updates as they happen…a very exciting day!
2:30PM The duckling is making good hatching progress. It has used its ‘egg tooth’ to help make a hole around the entire egg.It won’t be long now until it is ‘hatched’.
2:45pm It’s here! After a lot of pushing, duckling number 1 is here! It needs to spend the next day or two in the incubator to stay warm and and to let it’s feather fluff up.
