    2.He learns that the sharks don’t eat humans but only eat fish and that they are 30 to 40metres long.
    3.He wasn’t aloud because the sea was very rough those two days and it was dangerous.
    4.His feelings changed to happy and excited to worried and scared.

    Michael was not able to and not allowed to keep watch on day 1 and 2 because the channel was filled with tankers(ships that transport gases and liquids across the ocean.

    At the start Michael felt quite worried because his mother had stomach cramps that were not severe but still hurt but after his mother stopped having stomach pains he felt happy and relieved.

    It builds suspense because we will not know what happens next unless we carry on reading
