Mrs Diaz’s phonics group-Week 2, OR, OOR, ORE, AW.

For week 2 in our phonic sessions, we are focusing on the sounds OR, OOR, ORE and AW. Firstly we looked at the sounds and talked about the words these sounds would be in. We then went onto read the RWI book, ‘The Lion’s Paw,’ where we read, comprehended and answered questions. Following on from this we played a board game with the sound within it, where we had to sound out and blend the word we land on. To extend on our focused sounds we wrote sentences for the pictures given.

PLEASE COMPLETE PAGES 6,7 and 8 IN THE ‘GET WRITING BOOKLET’ FOR HOMEWORK.
