Nursery Headlice!

Dear Parents/Carers,

It’s happening again!

We have these ‘visitors’ in Nursery.

Several parents have informed school that they have been treating their child’s hair due to head lice.

Please can everybody check your child’s hair and treat if you find any ‘eggs’ or ‘walkers’. This should be done every three days for two weeks.

A lot of our parents are extremely caring and keep us informed if their child has been unlucky enough to have caught head lice. However, some are not treating the problem – therefore this issue continues.

Please can we ask you all to support by checking your child’s hair.

Treatment:

Cover hair in conditioner and combing through carefully with a fine toothed comb every three days for two weeks.

Purchase headlice treatment from your local pharmacy and follow the instructions.
*Please be advised that Doctors no longer issue treatment on prescription.
