Reception Blue Week 5

We are in our final week for our topic of ‘All About Me’ .This week our work is based around the story ‘Teddy’s Secret’ by A.C Warren. Please take a look at our learning below and comment on what your favourite part of the week was.😊

Communication and Language-To talk about our birthdays.

Literacy-To emergent write about our birthdays. To learn new phonemes, practise segmenting and blending.

Basic Skills – To develop fine motor skills for writing. To practically sequence numbers to 5. To find initial sounds to CVC words.

Maths – To sort objects according to size.To take part in Mastering Number sessions.

Understanding of the world– To show an understanding of what a birthday is and how different people celebrate.

PSED/SEAL – To talk about our favourite learning for this half term and say why.

Expressive Art/Design –To move to music accordingly. To decorate a biscuit.

SMSC-To know how babies are welcomed into the Christian family.

    What a lovely week! Tobias really enjoyed decorating biscuits and playing with his friends. He’s so happy to be at school now and playing with his friends :)
