In this country it is compulsory that all children come to school from the age of 5 . Many countries have classes that just read from one book and dull learning environments. It is very different in many schools to our school.
Broad Heath is special, don’t forget that. We have great teachers, children and Governors.
KS1- What is the best thing about this school?
KS2- If you had to change anything about your school life and education, what would it be and why?
1. The best thing in this school is that when it is Friday we go to the swimming pool.
KS1: My favourite thing about this school is that we have nice teachers.
We have lovely pupils too.
Ks1 : I like how there’s a swimming pool because some schools don’t have swimming pools and that’s sad 🥺😭🥺
If there was anything I could change in my school life , it could be more challenging work and more time to learn Spanish.
I would like more time at swimming since most kids in my class struggle with it and every morning we should do a exercise to make sure nobody is half asleep.
KS1:We learn how to be kind.
I would change the education in art because I want to do art with paint so it’s more fun. We could do lots of diverse styles and pictures of art.
I would add more clubs and hire more teachers for them.
I would change the school by adding one more subject before break time.
We all need education in our life’s!
I would change that we would have a project week for different subjects e.g. maths and science.
This is because most of our project weeks are linked to Art and DT.
I would also want to change the amount of lessons per week for Topic, Art and Science.
If I would change something I would change that we have more time to do our learning such as PE, maths, English, geography and history.
I would change it so we could have more time in art and this time we could draw stuff not make stuff. I would also think we should do more lessons on different stuff because what If someone’s struggling on one thing that they didn’t learn in school.
I would want to have the BH bus running because lots of people walk it to BH.
There are lots of buses in the city if you needed one.
If I was to change something we could make a club where you can join it you are struggling on a subject because some people struggle in lessons and they need more time to understand .
Surely that is the job of your teachers?
3B and me found other schools are brockton but with kids in sod and that is not good for them and some kids stey out sod but the wust thing is the last school dono’t hava wolls and the kids in there hava to leran out sod

We discussed what we might like to change and suggested that we should all contribute to cleaning the school like the eco councillors. We also suggested that we might like skills academy to return so we can gain even further. We also talked about the things we liked about our school that we don’t need to change because they are already brilliant (we found that bit much easier because there were so many things we liked.)

Skills club will be returning Summer 1 as long as well remain safe. X
Children in 3 White suggest one thing they would change would be to be able to wear more casual and comfortable clothes but they would all wear the BH jumper still to show that they belong to BH and the team.
Children would like the choice for what they use to write they would like to make the choice themselves to write in pen or pencil, also they would would like the option of using blue as well as black ink.
Children would like a choice of extra lessons alongside those they already do.

3 Blue looked at a school from Sierra Leone and compared it to the education we get in Great Britain and BH. We are very fortunate that we have a free education system that wants us to learn but even more fortunate that we attend such an amazing school that has so many facilities.
We talked about how displays and the classroom environment make us feel. We also discussed how that not all schools in England are the same either.
Things that we would like to change:
Adam- have a bigger playground.
Harrison- have a longer swimming session as it is an important life skill.
Ahmed- To have more cubicles in the boys toilets upstairs.
Hamsia- Have longer Maths sessions.
Khadeeja- Longer PE and music sessions as these are really important for our well being.
Zaynab- scheduled golden time across the school.
Hopefully more play and freedom will return summer 1. Thanks for your thoughts.

We could have skills academy, more assembly’s and be mixed with more of the classes because assembly’s we didn’t have for 2 years until yesterday . skills academy we didn’t have for a while and we only were 12

I will think about skills academy being introduced Summer 1.
I would change the break I think we should have a break at two ocklock just like Ks1
Thanks this would mean you would perhaps have to start learning in the mornings even earlier as you officially have to do a set amount of time. Would you do this?
If I was able to change something I would change that we can have skills academy every once a week be we also have to keep some distance because of covid.
If I would have to change something I would make all the schools environment is clean .
Our school is VERY CLEAN. Toilets need looking after by you the pupils as these can be left untidily.
I would add one more hour so we could learn more and more time for each subject so we have 2 lessons each subject.
When would we do this extra hour?
I would like that we have double lessons in art because it will push us in a drawing ✍️

I think the one change I want in school education is more people come to school because it helps people to socialise more and better
Everyone at Broad Heath does come to school very well.
If I could change anything about my school life and education it would be a bit harder homework or more opportunity for everyone to do something( etc. Clubs, Rewards and Trips).
Perhaps talk to your teacher about this.
