In general ( there will always be an exception): The smaller the instrument the higher the pitch, the bigger the instrument, the lower the pitch.
When we look at our coloured glockenspiels, you will notice that the lower PITCHES are longer metal chimes, and that they gradually, in increments get smaller as they ascend in PITCH.
Using 3 different sized mugs, notice the pitches due to their sizes.
What happens to the pitch when we add different volumes of water to the mugs?
