This week we continued with our topic for this half term, ‘Our Favourite Stories’. Our story for this week was ‘Elmer’ by David McKee. We also continued with our PSHE work and focus on Citizenship.😊
Communication and Language- To listen and talk about stories to build familiarity and understanding. To learn new vocabulary
Literacy- To describe Elmer using adjectives
Basic Skills-To develop letter formation skills
Basic Skills – To complete number bonds to 5
Basic Skills- To read and match tricky words
Maths – To explore the composition of 5
Understanding of the world– To recognise that some environments are different to the one in which we live.
Expressive Art/Design– To create our own patchwork elephant based on Elmer.
SMSC-To think about stories which are special to Christians.
