We have had a brilliant week in Reception. We have been consolidating our learning by recapping all the sounds we have learnt so far in phonics. In Maths, we learned all about squares and rectangles and talked about their properties using Mathematical language. We talked about who lives in our house and drew pictures for our class display. In SMSC, we watched a video of how Diya celebrates Diwali and talked about how we celebrate special occasions with our family and friends. To develop gross and fine motor skills/ To practice our singing.
To Identify squares and rectangles and begin to understand their properties
To know what special times people celebrate.
To talk about members of their immediate family and describe family members who are familiar to them.
