    THE STONE AGE:

    1. People used stone tools.
    2. People were hunters and gatherers, tracking wild animals for their meats
    3. Their diets included meat from wild animals and birds, leaves, roots and fruits from plants.
    4. In new stone age, animals such as cattle, pigs and sheep were domesticated.
    5. They used to work in group to bring down large animals.
    6. In Britain they would have hunted horses, deer, mammoth and hares, rhino and hyena.
    7. In Middle stone age, hunters would have started using a huge range of edible plant and animal species that are native to the British Isles.
    8. At the start of the Neolithic period, Domestic animals and plants were first brought to the British Isles.
    9. Stone age man needed a lot of nuts such as hazelnuts.
    10. In the stone age people raided bee hives for honey.

    1. It started about 2,600000 million years ago.
    2. The stone age is made up of 3 different periods, the paleolithic period, the mesolithic period and the neolithic period.
    3. It was called the stone age because most of the tools were made of stone.
    4. The stone age started when early humans appeared in Africa.
    5. People made small groups called tribes.
    6. They gathered food from trees such as berries and nuts and took eggs from birds nests.
    7. They ate raw meat from dead animals.
    8. Animals that were around in the stone age were wooly mammoth, wooly rhino, cave bears and giant deer.
    9. They used fur for clothes and bones, shells, teeth and animal claws for necklaces.
