    The line in the the middle of the square make it a half so if you count 1 half each square you will get your answer.
    If there were 2 lines in quarters you can make it.
    You can make it by counting the sixths together and same with nine ninths.You can move the line that are a square and put it in the middle to make a half.
    2 line because the 2 line in a cross shape it would be in quarters.
