In science this half term we are learning about states of matters. Today we have conducted several investigations where gases are used. Year 4 I would like you to answer the below questions on the paper towel investigation:
1)What happens when you put the cup in vertically?
2) What does the air do?
3) What happens when you tilt the cup?
4) Where does the air go?
5) Where does the water go?
All the investagation were all good
1)When you put the cup โ๏ธ cup vertically only a little bit of ๐ฆ water comes out.If you touch the paper towel it’s dry but not completely dry.

5.The water goes to the top of the cup.๐๐๐ก๐
HUMAIRA KHAN๐๐ฅ
When you put the cup in the water rises to the top.
The air fills in the gaps so the water can not go in the cup.
When you tilt the cup the water goes in side the cup.
The air goes inside the cup to fill in the gaps.
The water goes around the cup
1.When you put the cup in vertically it still stays dry.
2.The air blocks the water from getting to the paper towel.
3.When you tilt the cup it stays dry.
4.The air goes around the paper towel so the paper towel doesn’t get wet.
5.The water stays around the paper towel but it can’t get to the paper towel o make it get wet because of the air.
1. The paper towel doesn’t get wet
2.the air blocks the water from the cup

It was stuck on the cup
It makes it sticky
It was easier
