Dear Parents,
As part of our learning about mountains, we are arranging a trip for Year 6 to Dovedale in the Peak District on Thursday 22nd October.
The coach will leave school at 8.30am and will return to school at 4.00pm. Please arrive early to collect your child at the end of the day from the Hanford Close entrance.
The school will cover the cost of the trip so there will be absolutely nothing to pay! If your child is entitled to free school meals, a lunch will be provided. All other children must bring in a packed lunch from home in a carrier bag that can be thrown in the bin after they have eaten.
This trip involves hill walking and your child must therefore be dressed in clothing suitable for cold and possibly wet weather – trousers/boots/rain coats with hoods etc.
All school journeys are covered by public liability insurance and trips outside the City are usually covered by comprehensive travel insurance, details of cover are available from the school on request.
If you have any questions regarding the trip, please feel free to speak to Mr McCabe, Miss Sahin, Mrs Janjua or Mrs Edwards.
