2 Blue – Staying Healthy & Taking Care

This week as part of Science Week, we have been learning about how we can take care of ourselves and stay healthy.
We have learnt about the different ways that we can look after our body (diet, hygeine, exercise etc). Working in groups, the children have participated in a range of exercises, testing the impact that exercise has on our bodies and lifestyle.

Watch the video below on ways to keep our body healthy.

Here are some ways that we can look after ourselves:

– Eating healthy and having a balanced diet
– Exercising and being active daily (at least 20 minutes a day)
– Washing our hands regularly (after using the toilet and before we eat)

It is important that we also take care of our hygeine by showering often, wearing clean clothes and brushing our teeth twice a day.
Without doing these things, we can catch germs and make ourselves poorly.

Answer these questions below:

– Why is it important to stay healthy?
– How can we make sure we are staying healthy?
– What have you done today to contrbiute to a healthier lifestyle?

It is important to stay healthy so then we can be strong, fast and hygienic.

We make sure we are being healthy by doing a list for a routine in the afternoon, evening or after school when we get home. An exercise routine, healthy food and also a list about how many vegetables or fruits we have eaten a day.

I have done exercise like star jumps, push ups, jogging on the spot, running on the spot to contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
