Today we had an amazingly fun day. We started off the day researching the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, we used our teamwork and creativity to create posters showcasing our knowledge. Afterwards we learnt about the Egyptian numeral system, we used this system to calculate a range of challenging subtraction and addition questions. In the afternoon we used our sculpting techniques to create Canopic jars and our artistic skills to create Cartouches using hieroglyphics symbols.

When Tutankhamen was 8 he became a pharaoh and when he was 18 he died I used pinching and carving and sculpting skills. When people die they wash the body and put lentils and salt in at and leave it for 50 days.

We used skills of pinching and moulding our jars into special shapes so that the lid would not fall into the pot.
We learnt that Tutankhamun died when he was 18 and it was alleged that he died in a chariot race and he had a very short temper & his citizens did not like him and they thought he was stubborn .
Nobleman and the pharaohs were buried in sarcophaguses not citizens of ancient Egypt.

No because, only pharaohs and noble men were able to get mummified. This is because, getting mummified was a very expensive and long process for the Ancient Egyptions. The mummification process took about 70 days!!!
