To introduce our fantasy genre of reading and writing this half term we are going to have a themed world book day immersing ourselves in the shire from the story ‘The Hobbit, By J.R.R Tolkien’. However, if your child would like to come in as another character from another book they are welcome too.
Below are outfit ideas for children, it would be lovely to see everyone make an effort and dress up as the characters from the story.
Hobbits are known for their very large, hairy feet! Let’s see you create your own creative hairy feet (glue, fur, cotton, brown wool, paint etc)
The day will consist of reading, drama, art, and vocabulary development activities!
Again, if your child prefers to come as a different book character this is fine (no football kits).
