On Friday, Year 6 enjoyed a rather frightful Black Death Day as part of their History learning this half term! The children really enjoyed dressing up as plague doctors and medieval citizens, with many putting in an incredible effort into creating their costumes, thank you to grown ups for all of your support with this! The children created plague doctor masks by completing their Design and Technology unit, sewing fabric patterns together to form the outline. They then embellished these after learning a number of stitching techniques, they look really effective! Thank you to all of the adults who volunteered their time to assist with this, much appreciated!
Creative Costumes!
Skilful Sewing!
Horrible History!
