Last week in Maths, Year 4 started their new topic of learning in Maths of Coordinates.

This week, we will be consolidating our learning further as we continue to look at coordinates on a grid and understanding the importance of the x and y axis.
- The first number relates to the x axis, which is the horizontal line across the bottom.
- The second number relates to the y axis, which is the vertical line on the left hand side.
- A way to remember this is ’along the corridor’ and ’up the stairs’.
