Hola Clase! You have started the topic really well this half term!

I would like you to watch the following video that will recap last weeks learning of counting from 1- 15 in Spanish and will also teach you the numbers up to 20!

I am also adding the video I shared with you today in class to support counting to 31:

What do you notice about the numbers 16 – 19? Is there a pattern?

Task: I would like you to go for a walk and see how many times you spot these numbers in your local area. Which ones were the most popular? Remember to say the numbers in Spanish!

GD – Create a tally chart for different objects you would see on a walk, e.g. cars, doors, windows, shops, people, dogs, cats, birds etc. Add them on your tally chart and count in Spanish!

    I noticed that the numbers 16-19 have dieci at the beginning like:
    Dieciseis
    Diecisiete
    Dieciocho
    Diecinueve.

    Si mi amiga there is a pattern because let’s say we were doing 17 we know 10 is diez and 7 is siete so we add them up and you get diessiete! and thank you very much for adding the song it is helping a bit

      Great effort Ebun! Just remember 30 is treinta and all the numbers beyond have the connecting word, ‘y’, for example 31 is treinta y uno.

      Superstar! Just remember numbers beyond 30 have the word ‘y’ to connect the 10s and the ones e.g. treinta y uno.

    I notice that in numbers 16-19 it starts with 10 then how much is remaining for example deissies it now 10 the six is remaining so diessies=16.
    By the way the song really helped in my learning now I can count to 20 in Spanish confidently 😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌. Anyways bye
