Today in Year 5 we had the opportunity to create a piece of pointillism art. Pointillism art is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of colours are applied in patterns. We studied the artist ‘Georges Seurat’ and looked at his art work. We then went on to create the pointillism art of a river scene, making sure we used the correct dotting techniques. We hope you enjoyed creating these master pieces. Mrs Diaz, Mrs Habib and Mrs Jones.

What skills did you use?

What could you improve on?

Could you use this technique in any other art work?
