The Raven by Ms Janjua’s Intervention Group

Over the past week we have been learning about the poem The Raven by Edgar Poe. It is a Victorian poem which is dark and Gothic. Today the children had the opportunity to read a stanza from the poem. They practised their intonation and gesticulation. However, they self valuated their work and all agreed they needed to work on their intonation. A very good effort by everyone.

Take a look at your work.

What did you find most difficult and why?

How can you improve for next time?

  9. Samanta V.

The one that was difficult was doing my voice, because I needed more impression and getting my voice to speak sad, slowly, gloomy or depressed.

I could improve by my voice acting and my actions to explain how the poem speaks and how the poem talks.
