Our new topic for this half term is Favourite Stories where we will be sharing lots of texts by the same author . We will also continue with our PSHE work and focus on Citizenship.😊
Communication and Language- To listen and talk about the story ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson and learn new vocabulary.
Literacy- To describe the Gruffalo using adjectives.
To identify individual phonemes and blend sounds in words.
Basic Skills – To develop pencil control
To form numbers to 10.
To form all the letters in my name.
Maths – To develop a deeper understanding of the number three.
To explore and compare mass.
Understanding of the world– To understand the need to respect and care for the natural environment and all living things.
To follow a map.
Expressive Art/Design– To create a Gruffalo picture.
SMSC-To think about which stories are special to us.
On Friday we had character dress up day. Please see a photo of our wonderful costumes.
