Year 1 Reading Challenge Autumn 1-2022

Hi Year 1,
Firstly, practise reading the sounds below and then read the words.

Now use your knowledge to read the ditty below…

BRONZE

How many words can you tell me which have the ‘sh’ sound in them?

How many words can you tell me which have the ‘nk’ sound in them?

SILVER

Draw a picture of the frog. Think of lots of words to describe the frog and write them neatly around your picture. These words are called ‘adjectives’. For example, you could write ‘slimy’.

GOLD

What might happen next in the story? Write in full sentences to tell me. Remember to use a capital letter at the beginning of each sentence and a full stop at the end.
