    Alex’s is number could be 40 because it has 4 tens and if you now your 10 x tables you could get the answer .

    The answer could never be 14 because Alex said 4 tens and 14 only has 1 ten .

    because 32p + 70p= 102p
    which means she had more than than £1. 100p makes £1 and she have 102p makes it more than £1.

    Habib is right because I added 10 to a number each time and the tens changed but the ones stayed the same.

    For example,
    10+30= 40
    10+15=25
    10+13=23
    The ones always stay the same.

    Yes she is correct because 7 lots of 10p are 70p. When you add 32p into 70p then the amount is 102p.
    102p is more than £1.
    32p+70p=102p

    Isla is correct because when she got 7 lots of 10p on her birthday it was equivalent to 70p. If you add them together they equal to 102p and £1 is equivalent to 100p. 102p is greater then 100p and 102 is equivalent to £1.02
