    What are minibeasts?
A ‘minibeast’ is simply a small animal. Spiders, snails, slugs, beetles, centipedes, worms, earwigs, caterpillars are just a few.

Give 2 facts about one of the minibeasts.

Butterflies are insects. They have 3 body parts: a head, thorax (middle part) and abdomen (tail end). They also have 6 legs and 4 wings. They can see ultraviolet light and so see flowers very differently to humans!

Caterpillars are insects, just like their parent butterflies or moths. They have six proper legs, like all insects, but also up to five pairs of stumpy prolegs with little hooks that help them to hang onto things, and to move in a wave-like motion.
