Year 3 City Centre Visit

Hello everyone,

Our final visit of the year will be a walk into the city centre on Thursday 29th June 2023. This learning will have 2 areas of focus.

1. Geography as part of our UK unit, we will be collecting data at various locations on our journey to make comparisons back in the classroom.
2. English: we have been looking at Paddington goes to London, and we will be writing our own stories based on Paddington goes to Coventry. We will be taking Paddington to various locations and coming up with adjectives, expanded noun phrases and other descriptive devices which we can bring back to the classroom to use in our writing on the Friday.

Children need to be in school at normal time (8:45) as we will leave at 9am. Children who are usually a school dinner will be provided with a school packed lunch. School packed lunches bring your lunch as normal.

I suggest you wear sensible shoes (trainers would be best) as we are walking, but rest assured we will have plenty of rests.

Please send your child with a water in a bottle to keep them hydrated.

Children wear uniform or their PE tops.

If it is hot send a sun hat and ensure sun cream has been applied.
