    Stone Age Facts:

    The Stone Age in Ireland began before 8000 BC.
    They hunted Animals and Berries.
    They lived in huts made of Rushes or Animal skins.
    They built huge tombs to bury and honour the dead.
    They would draw on their cave walls using coloured stones, Animal fats and Charcoal.
    There were 4 different types of humans in the stone age.
    Humans used animal skins to keep them warm.
    Some of the animals that lived in the stone age are now extinct.
    Stone age people made their own tools.
    Dogs were kept on farms or used as pets during the stone age.

    In the early stone age, humans lived in caves
    They used stoneto make tool’s
    They used fire wood to make light and heat
    They used snail shell necklace’es to use as decoration
    They chased wooly mamoths for food
    But they ate it raw
    And they used it’s skin for closths
    They used stone tool’s for defending
    In the stone age they didn’t have any home’s
    And no bed’s

    themselves from wild animals.

    8.Stone age people made there own tools.
    9.Modern man appeared around 200,000 years ago!
    10. Dogs became domesticated in the stone age.

    2. People were hunters and gatherer tracking wild animals for their every day meat.
    3. Their diets were composed of wild animals and birds.
    4. Animals such as cattle, pigs and sheep were domesticated in New stone age.
    5. Working in group was the method used to bring down large animals.
    6. In Britain they would have hunted horses, deer, mammoth, hares, rhino and hyena.
    7. In the middle stone age, hunter would have started using a huge range of edible plant and animal and animal species that are native to the British Isles.
    8. It was at the start of the Neolithic period that domestic animal and plant were first brought to British Isles.
    9. Stone age man needed a lot of nuts such us hazelnuts.
    10. To get honey, stone age man used to raid bee hives.
