Year 4 Autumn 1 Week 2 Homework

Here is this week’s homework. Don’t forget it must be finished by Wednesday morning. Complete a minimum of two pieces and if you have any problems, let your teacher know on Monday morning.

English

Create a map of your own imaginary world. Think about any important physical or human features like cities, islands, mountains, rivers and forests.

Your WOW homework for this week is to answer these questions in your homework books:

  1. List the different types of teeth that we have and their functions.
  2. Find two animals that do not have teeth.
  3. Why do animals have different teeth to humans?
  4. Write 3 tips for brushing your teeth correctly.

    Wow homework:
    1.Incisors-are the first eight teeth in the front centre of your mouth.
    Canines-are sharp and they sit near your incisors.
    Premolars-are used for tearing and crushing food.
    Molars-are your largest teeth. They grind food when you are chewing.
    2.Two animals that do not have teeth are pangolins and anteaters.
    3.Animals have different teeth to humans because of their diets.
    4.3 tips that would help brushing your teeth correctly are:
    -Tilt your teeth brush to a 45 degree angle
    -Brush your teeth for 2 minutes
    -Always try to brush your gums

    1. The molar teeth are for munching food and canine teeth are food breaking down hard food.
    2. Pangolins and anteaters and Snails don’t have teeth
    3. As humans our teeth are for breaking down meat and plants because we are omnivores and animals teeth are based of what diet the have so are different.
    4. 1. Brush them 2 times a day in the morning and at night! 2. Don’t brush your teeth to hard. 3. Make sure you don’t forget about the back teeth :)

    Incisors are used to bite of any tear the food when entering the mouth
    Wisdom teeth they grow when you become older

    They are bird and worms because of the worms eat they will eat.
    3.Why do animals have different teeth to humans?
    This is Because most animals are herbivores and carnivores and they eat differently.
    4.Write 3 tips for brushing your teeth correctly.
    Putting some toothpaste on the brush.
    Then start brushing your teeth with the toothbrush.
    After 2 minutes of brushing your teeth wash your mouth with water.

    Molars makes your teeth big it also makes you chew it is same as Canine.

    Animals that do not have teeth are worms and snails.
    Humans eat both plants and animals but the animals eat one type like horses eat just hay and plants but animals like wild cats eat other animals and different teeth are needed.
    Three good tips for brushing your teeth correctly
    1) get your toothbrush and toothpaste and put the toothpaste on the toothbrush and then put water on it.
    2) brush all your teeth don’t forget your canines, incisors, molars ,premolars and wisdom teeth.
    3) brush your tongue and make sure there is no white on it and that it is all pink.
    And then you are ✅ done🧚
