Year 4 Summer 1 Week 1 Reading Challenge

Hi Year 4,

We are starting a new text in English for our new topic, which focuses on stories from different cultures. The text is called The Fastest Boy in the World and the story follows a young boy named Solomon from Ethiopia and his passion for running.

I would like you to listen to this video of a teacher reading the first chapter of the story. If you would like to carry on listening to the rest of the story, then please click onto her channel and listen to the rest of the chapters.

We will be testing the children’s knowledge on the first chapter of the book, so make sure you have listened to the video! Those children that are able to show that they have read the first chapter, will be getting 5 dojo points each!
