    1) One rubber costs 25p as £1.92 divided by 2 = 96p for three pencils and £1.21 – £0.96 = £0.25 or 25p.
    2) The stack of boxes is now 975cm tall as 40 boxes are 1000cm tall and 1000 divided by 40 = 25, 25 x 3 = 75 and 1000 – 75 = 975cm.
    3) 15 jars of jam cost £100.35 altogether as 65p x 10 = £6.50, £5.50 x 16 = £88.00, 15 glass jars cost £5.85 and when they are added together, they make £100.35.
    4) The school ordered 2520 dice altogether. I know because 35 x 6 = 210 and 210 x 12 = 2520 dice.
    5) The number is 960 because 1206.5 – 6.50 or 6.5 = 1200 and 1200 x 8 = 9600 and 9600 divided by 100 = 960.
    6) The mass of one large brick is 4kg. I know as 1.5kg x 8 = 12.0kg and 12.0 divided by 3 = 4.0kg so one large brick has a mass of 4kg.
