Year 6 – Sharing likes and dislikes for food

Last week Year 6 children wrote their likes and dislikes about different foods on the class blog. This week they were given the opportunity to practice and rehearse sharing their likes and dislikes verbally.

It is sometimes hard to learn a new language but we tried really hard and were able to make progress. Watch our videos to see how we got on!

Well done to the children who made the final cut! Can the rest of you tell me what the likes and dislikes of the children in the video are?

GD – Can you find and add other words that you can use to give reasons why you like or don’t like a particular food in Spanish. We have already learnt, sana, malsana, sabrosa, and asquerosa, so please add to this list.

    I said I do not like potatoes as they are disgusting.

    Odio los huevos porque son asquerosos.-I hate eggs because they are gross.
    Me gustan las envolturas porque son sabrosas.-I like wraps because they are tasty.
    Me encanta la pizza porque es deliciosa.-I love pizza because it’s delicious.
    Me gusta el pollo porque es sabroso.-I like chicken because it’s tasty.

    Shabaz said he didnt like chocalate as it is unhealthy.
