The children in Year 6 have been learning about life skills this half term in PSHE. They have learnt about the importance of effective communication, the risks and consequences of carrying knives, and to understand which resistance strategies can keep us safe. The children were asked to think about the acronym MATES. This informed us how to make good friendship choices, avoid anti-social behaviour, change the subject, how to effectively refuse and how to step away. To consolidate their learning, the children were asked to make an iMovie to share their advice with others. Take a look at some of their ideas and suggestions!
