1R Maths Week 🟪⚪️🔸

This week we learnt all about 2D and 3D shapes. We wanted to find out…

Which shapes are most common in our environment?

First we learnt to name 3D shapes. This was something that was brand new for us and it was a little tricky. However, we made so much progress! Remember to practise using the shape names with objects you find at home.

We read a super story called Captain Invincible and the Space Shapes. We used our role play skills to explore the story.

We learnt to name and sort 2D shapes too!

We learnt different directions through song and dance. Here we are learning ‘left’ and ‘right’.

We went on a shape walk around Foleshill. Look what we found!

Which shape was most common?

We were lucky enough to visit Foleshill Library along the way! We absolutely loved the experience and most of us now have library cards. How fantastic! Remember to return your books within a month and you can borrow 20 more! Thank you so much to Sofia’s dad, Aryan’s mum and Hashinika’s dad for their support on the trip! It was very much appreciated.

CHALLENGE
