5W get a visit from Warwickshire Wildlife Trust

Today, Katie from the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust came to speak to us about river pollution. We learnt about the sort of pollutants that end up in rivers near us and what we can do to help.
The children got to make โ€œsewage soupโ€ before investigating the playground to identify storm drains.

Tell me 3 pollutants in local rivers.
Which animals live in our local rivers?

How can you help stop river pollution?

We can help by not throwing the waste on the ground, which is going to flow to into rivers.
