3.She was executed by Mary I (also known as bloody Mary since she killed a lot of people during her reign) because Mary was supposed to be on the throne after Edward VI but instead it went to Lady Jane Grey and Mary wanted to be on the throne.

    1. Why did Lady Jane Grey become queen?
She was proclaimed queen after the death of her cousin, the protestant King Edward VI, son of Henry VIII. She was actually fifth in line to the throne, but was his personal choice as she was a Protestant.
    2. How long was she queen for?
Lady Jane Grey was queen for just nine days, as part of an unsuccessful bid to prevent the accession of the Catholic Mary Tudor.
    3. Who was she executed by and why?
She was executed by Mary Tudor because Jane was arraigned for high treason.
