The number of children regularly borrowing books from the Library continues to grow and we have just received a long awaited order. So we now have an even more exciting range of fiction and non fiction books.
If you log into the iMLS app as guest (CV6 5DP and choose “Broad Heath”) you will see a sample of the new books available.
You can also see books that have recently been returned (if you are waiting for one) and what the most popular loans have been.
You can also view reviews of books (where they have them). Why don’t you be the first from Broad Heath to write a review of a book you have just read!
There are plans for the “circulation” area of the Library to be upgraded. A huge thanks to the Year 5 and 6 Junior Librarians who are keeping the Library ticking over.
About Roald Dahl Roald Dahl was a spy, an ace fighter pilot, a chocolate historian and a medical inventor. He was also the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG, and a treasury of original, evergreen, and beloved children’s books. He remains for many the world’s No. 1 storyteller. Born in Llandaff, Wales, on 13th […]
Our Broad Heath Library wouldn’t function efficiently without our Junior Librarians. That is why it is sad to see our Yr6 JLs leaving us. Today the Broad Heath Junior Librarians visited Waterstones Book shop in the city centre. Hopefully their own blogs will tell you what it was like! Come on Junior Librarians!

Broad Heath Library has seen a few changes over recent weeks. The most important change is the introduction of a Library Admin Assistant, Mrs. Hanan Sherif. Encouraging older children to read As children get older, there’s no need to stop enjoying sharing books and reading together. Research has shown that children who enjoy reading and spend more time reading for pleasure have better reading and writing skills, a broader vocabulary, and an increased general knowledge and understanding of other cultures. But […]

At last the new Library shelving has been fitted and filled. It has made a huge difference to the way the Library looks, feels and functions.
