Number bonds to 5

We have been working on understanding which two numbers add together to make 5.
Last week we began by sorting animals into two groups.

This week we used numicon to represent 5 showing our understanding of number bonds to 5.
The children were amazing at saying which two numbers make 5 โ€“ I am really proud of them!

How many different ways can you make 5?

What can you use at home to make 5 in different ways?

In class, we used this website to have a go at making number bonds to 5 using numicon tiles. You could use this at home together if you wanted to replicate what we did at school.

As a challenge, you could also see what numbers add together to make 6, 7, 8,9 and 10!

Please comment and I will give everyone who has a go at my questions a sticker.

    Thank you for your support,
    Mrs Davison
