Reception order numbers to 10

Today in Reception we were consolidating our knowledge of the order of numbers. We used Numicon to create a pattern which showed the order of numbers from 1-5. Some children were able to order further 1-10. Children also discussed the shape of Numicon and odd and even numbers. Some children even started to look at number bonds to 10!

Children could practise ordering numbers at home to help consolidate their learning. Write the numbers 1 – 10 on pieces of paper, mix them up and ask them to put in order from smallest to largest!
