Wednesday – Nursery Learning

Mathematics – To use positional language.

Today in Maths the children used positional language to describe where different minibeasts were hiding in the tray. They were encouraged to use their words and not point to fully describe where the minibeasts were hiding.

Literacy – To form recognisable letters.

Today the children developed their knowledge of the letter ‘m’ and with some support held a pencil correctly to form this letter correctly. Can you also practise this letter at home?

Phonics Fun!

Today in phonics we looked at forming the letters s and d correctly. We also, continued to practice our word blending when working with Fred. Can you practice blending these words at home? Say each sound first before blending them together to say the word. Don’t forget to use your ‘Freddie Fingers’.
