Hi Year 1,

Each week, you will have a spelling test on a THURSDAY.

This week, on Thursday 14th September 2023, you will have your Week 1 test. Your teacher will read the word and you will need to spell it in your book.

Please practise lots at home. If you get 10/10 you will get a prize!

Red group – here are your spellings…

Orange, Yellow & Blue groups – here are your spellings.

Each week will have a different pattern. Most words have special friends in them like ‘sh’, ‘ch’ or ‘th’. The last two words each week will be tricky ‘red words’ which don’t follow a pattern. We just need to learn them.
