In English they learned about non-fictions texts and wrote about Rivers and why they are important. They looked at a range of non fiction text and compared them to fiction texts and why they are different. They researched facts about rivers which helped them to plan and write their own information text. Next, they wrote an adventure story and read the story about The Hobbit. They leaned how to use a range of clauses, fronted adverbials in their writing as well as empathising with the characters. They acted out parts of the story and had fun. This helped them to plan and write their adventure story.
In Maths, they continued to learn about fractions adding and subtracting them as well as multiplying fractions and finding fractions of amounts. This was a unit they found difficult and were determined to learn. Alongside this, they learned about decimals and percentages. They rounded decimals, converted decimals , fractions and percentages and found the equivalence.
Well done for a super term. Have a wonderful half term. Stay safe. Happy Easter!
