Greetings 5 Red, here is a round up of our Ancient Olympic Day! This day is based upon three key values, respect, excellence and friendship. How do these important values echo what we do daily at Broad Heath? Let us know what you enjoyed about today.
We started in the morning by partaking in the traditional Olympic Games, reenacting by taking a leaf out of the Olympic civilisation and its great contribution to the World.

We commenced our Olympic day, with a grand ceremony shared with very special guests. A huge thank you you to Roger Medwell and Mrs Frankish and our special guests.
Next, we started competing with each other in our very own Olympic Games. Below are photos of the Long Jump. We had 3 goโs to see if we could beat our own score by jumping the furthest distance from the starting line. Our teachers then measured the distance by using a trundle.
Next we competed in โฆ..Javelin. We cheered each other on!
We completed our Archery Competition. Aim and score!
Finally, we competed in the 100 metre sprint!
We created Olive Crowns in true Greek style! Our winners were crowned with these spectacular crowns in traditional Olympian fashion. Well done 5 Red winners!
