Year 4 Homework Week 5

This weekend, we would like you to prepare for transition to year 5!

To help you with this, here are some activities you could be doing, you can pick 2 or more:

  • Create a leaflet for the Year 3s, to show them what life is like in Year 4.
  • Create a This Is Me poster to show to your new teacher.
  • Write an explanation text for getting ready for school.
  • Create a piece of art to demonstrate the emotions someone might feel when they move classes.
  • Create a map of your journey to school, marking out the key locations and street names. (Please bring this into school, don’t post this on the blog.)
  • Talk about your journey in Broad Heath so far using the Michael Rosen Rap as inspiration.

    I wake up at 7:15 and I get dressed at 7:20 I eat food at 7:25 and I but my shoes on at 7:30 and I leave the house at 7:36

    Challenge 1:
    How i get ready for school:
    I wake up at 7:30 in the morning and get may teeth brushed by 7:35.
    Then I go to my room to get into my clothes by 7:36.
    After this I go downstairs and make cearial for both me and my sister and after this Its 8:15 so then I watch some tv until 8:25.
    Finally I get ready to go school and arrive by 8:30–8:35.

    Challenge 2:
    When I was in nursery I was nice,
    When I was in year 1 I wanted to fly,
    When I was in year 2 I had a kiet,
    When I was in year 3 I attended a flight
    When I was in year 4 I had a water fight.

    Getting ready for school
    I wake up at 7:50 I wash my face brush my teeth and get changed.
    I come down and eat my breakfest I pack my school things and if i have time I read my reading book and then I go to school to learn all the subject.

    How I get ready for school:
    I wake up at 7:30 and have brushed my teeth by 7:35.
    I have my breakfast by 7:45 and until 8:00, I have dressed up, put on my shoes and have my things ready.
    Then, I wake up my sister and do the same for her.
    We are ready to go at 8:30 and arrive at 8:35.
    Emotions for moving to year 4:
    You will probably feel worried or sad because you will leave your teacher.
    Some people might feel excited for year 4 because they want to meet their new teacher or assistant.

    I wake up then I go downstairs into my bathroom and brush my teeth. Then, I get ready into my school clothes in this case my PE kit and have my breakfast. After that, I brush my hair. I then make my lunch, put it in my lunch bag and put it into my school bag. Finally I go to school.

    I I have done the poster about my house to school.
    First , the alam or my mum wakes me up then I go down stairs to the bath room do my business then brush my teeth then I sometimes have a shower then , I have breakfast after that, I get change then my mum does my hair into a bun then wear my socks and shoes if I’m not wearing tights or I’m wearing sanders and then I put perfume to smell nice and finally I hug my parents.

    Write an explanation text for getting ready for school?

    In the morning I get up ,and I get change my night pyjamas into school clothes. I wash my face and brush my teeth then my mum make my breakfast then I packet my school bag and if l have spare time I read my school book to my mum , before leaving the house. It take me and my mum 10 minute to go school and i like school. I enjoying learning different subjects and l like playing with my friends and l like making new friends at school.

    When I was in nursery, I was so high, but not in the sky;
    When I was in reception, l caught a five alive,
    When l was in year 1, I won;
    When I was in year 2, I had a flu;
    When I was in year 3, I was so free;
    When l was in year 4, I had a tour.

    If someone was new they might be shy,scared,lonley there are so much things that Probally new people might feel. I know how that feels because I went to a place which I never went and I was new, I was shy scared and lonley!

    When I was in year 3 I saw a mountain
    When I was in Year 4 I liked fountains

    First for Year 5 you need to learn your Roman numerals and then you need to Make your presentation better and to practice what you are struggling on. For example if you are struggling on maths then go online and do some work. If you’re good with everything then challenge yourself to conquer extra things for year five
